#StandingOut with Dr. Karen Wolfe and Katrina Padron

August 16, 2017

Dr Karen Wolfe went to medical school at the age of 18 in Sydney, Australia and completed a Master’s Degree in Counseling at National University in Irvine. She was discontent with the approach of western medicine, so she has worked in the area of preventive medicine for the past 25 years.

Dr Karen began a new mid-life career in wellness at 48 and became a published author at 50 and is a popular speaker on the national and international circuit. She has a warm and natural way of speaking, in which she immediately makes the audience feel so comfortable just being in her presence. Her endearing Australian accent leaves her audiences always wanting more. At age 59 she became a certified Woman Business Owner with the Women’s Business Enterprise Council and is actively engaged in that organization. She spoke at their 2017 Forum on “The Healthy Entrepreneur”

Those who would rather speak to her privately rather than in a public forum, she stays behind to meet them in person after the event is over and the crowds have dispersed. Meeting people personally, both before and after she speaks, is a big part of what Dr Karen is all about. She loves the engagement with her audiences.

Dr. Karen was recognized by the National Wellness Institute in 2016 with a Lifetime Achievement Award for services in the field of wellness and health promotion and her career is dedicated toward a wellness-centered medical model.

#StandingOut with Amy Vance and Katrina Padron

July 19, 2017

Amy started Eco Modern Concierge in 2005 when she was an undergrad at the University of Houston, where she got her B.S. in Consumer Science and Merchandising, and later, her Master's degree in Commerce/Future Studies. It all began as a hobby in addition to school and a full-time job, as well as a means to pay for her study abroad programs in Mexico and Spain.

Since graduating, she’s been lucky enough to turn what she loves into a full-time career and she wouldn't have it any other way. She is passionate about what she does and her clients are so important to her, it seldom ever feels like a "job." Every day awaits a new and unpredictable challenge.
